Shell

Last week, I received a call from Shell, asking me whether I am interested in bla bla bla position. I was quite surprise. I never thought of it. I did apply for a few positions in Shell, but that was before I join my current company. Anyhow, I thought, why not. Just give it a try, look look and see see what are they up to. So they arrange a time for me to have a conference call with their team lead as well as the HR person.
After the conference call, they called me again. Ask me to come over to Cyberjaya for a face to face interview. I was surprise, really surpirse. I never thought they will ask me to go for the interview. I did not prepare myself well nor answered well enough during the conference call, yet still ask me to go for the interview? Hmmm.... very weird.
Anyway, I went for the interview last Monday. There are 3 interviewers. So, there it goes, 2 hours plus of bla bla bla in the meeting room. After 1st hour of interview, I no longer can concentrate. I don't even understand what am I talking about, not to mention them. In my mind, I was hoping that it will end soon, yet they keep on asking questions, non-stop. It was damn frustating, but what can I do, try my best lo.
After the interview, I am very very sure that they will not call me again. Why? I did very badly and I admit it. If they call me to go for the next interview, pig also can fly.
Today, after my lunch time, I received a call, and it is from Shell. They offering me the job. In my mind, I was telling myself, "This is no joke right, are you serious?". Damn, do you believe it? Not me, I'm still surprise. Anyway, they explain the package, as in the basic salary, benefits and so forth. I have to admit that their offer is really really attractive. Of course with the condition that I have to work at Cyberjaya and under 12 months probation.
I have 36 hours to make a decision. I am in dilemma. Seriously, I am very happy with where I am right now and I never plan to switch job probably another year or so. Nice working enviroment and colleagues. But it is Shell that I am talking about. For a not so smart person like me, to get an offer from Shell is like striking a lottery. Grrr............
Now, should I stay at or join Shell? You tell me.

Heard that they are going to outsource IT. Employees may end up working for the vendor instead. Perhaps you should ask them this question to find out the truth. But you would have decided by now, wouldn't you yet?

Yes, IT is outsourced in Shell. Even HR except for top positions. I'm a staff in Manufacturing. It's up to you to decide.
